Sourdough Bread Class

In class you will make a loaf of sourdough bread to take home and bake! You will also receive an established sourdough starter for your future loaves of bread!

There are a limited number of spaces in the class so registering early is encouraged. To register venmo@juliette-bischoff include your phone number to receive updates on the workshop AND INCLUDE the date of the class you wish to attend. If you do not have venmo please contact Brenda Niemeyer at Jared’s Jams to make your reservation (660-341-0358). Cost of the class is $25 (part of proceeds will be donated).

You will receive information on gut health, recipes, resources and excellent instruction in how to handle, feed and share your starter. You will also gain access to a community of like minded individuals!

Bring to class a 6 quart or larger bowl and a spoon - neither containing metal.

Cookie Decorating class with Julie Reavis, of the Sugar Shoppe. For $40 Julie provides home baked cookies, all frosting in prepared bags and instruction needed to learn the basics of cookie decorating! You go home with LOTS of tips, skills in decorating and the sweet treats you decorated!

Vivian'o’s Festa Italiano Restaurant and Deli is celebrating National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day with Leap of Faith Ministry and Jared’s Jams by serving gourmet PB&J (with drink $10) while hosting a youth activity!

This will be in their Fenton Restaurant only. Jared’s Jams will be offering a sampling table of Jared’s various jams. But we hope you will come out to enjoy our first collaborative event!

Eager to create snowflakes, spring designs or something that reflects your personal values or perspective? Learn how to create signs with Chalk Couture in a workshop. For the $15 Workshop fee you are provided the silkscreen design transfer, chalk pastes to design with and instruction.

You may bring a surface of your own or select a surface at the workshop to chalk (total cost of workshop will include cost of the surface you and workshop fee combined, if not bringing your own surface) Either way is fine as we have such a variety of styles.

Chalk Workshop for beginners or experienced chalkers. You can bring your own surface or select one of my surfaces upon arrival. Cost is $15 per person for workshop (this workshop fee covers cost of design transfers, pastes and instruction). If purchasing a surface this cost is added to your total purchase. I offer a variety of designs and styles! You can chalk on wood surfaces, blackboards, boutique whiteboards that are reusable, glass, metal, crocks, tile and more! You can even etch or burn designs!

Knox County Chamber of Commerce hosts the Knox County Christmas Extravaganza with vendors filling the Knox County Community Center from 1:00-5:00.

Santa will arrive at the Knox County Courthouse after the Magic Tree Lighting - those festivities begin at 6:00 with the Knox County High School Choir. Come join the festivities, shop local businesses, go on a hayride, savor a free hot chocolate from our shop and kick off the holiday joy with those of our community.

This class provides 4 cookies ready to decorate and the frosting bags to be adorable! There is a circle to create a spider web design, a square cookie for Frankenstein face, gingerbread man to make into a mummy and a sweet pumpkin shape to decorate.

Let’s have some fun and learn to decorate cookies that offer a nod to Dad for Father’s Day! In this workshop you’ll learn to make “burgers with the works” cookies as a tribute to Dad and his amazing grillin’ skills!

Julie Reavis, of the Sugar Shoppe, provides instruction, fresh cookies to decorate, the bags of frosting you’ll need and excellent tips for baking and decorating!

Creative Chalking! Tap into your creativity and learn to chalk with Chalk Couture’s DIY designs for home decor and more! Come chalk with us to learn how to use chalk paste to create the designs you love for your home or gift giving needs. Bring a friend to learn together as first time chalkers. Or if you have chalked before and want to bring your own surface to chalk - that’s fine also!

Each chalker pays for the surface they select to chalk on and a $10 workshop fee (covers cost of your transfer, paste, ribbon, etc). Therefore, each chalker determines the cost of their surface based on what they select to chalk. You take home the project you make and the know how to create all you wish!

Come join us for an air fryer session! This may be your first class or you may have met with us before... Either way - everyone is welcome.

For this session everyone is to bring a vegetable or vegetables that you’d like to learn how to cook! We will air fry together and sample together so you have delicious new ideas for your family meals! Bring your air fryer to learn what all the buttons can do and you’ll gain confidence when cooking together!
